Q4V is Growing
and Looking Ahead

Although 2024 started off with great success, due to the kindness and support of our volunteers, our efforts were stifled due to personal challenges faced by our leader Laurie Lee Dovey (LLD).

We’re pleased to report LLD is back at the top of her game, but realized during her struggles that she can’t do it alone. As a result, LLD in concert with key volunteers and Tron Peterson at Peterson Outdoors Ministries, have set forth a game plan to augment the leadership of Quilts4Vets and the organization’s efforts.

A new board of directors will be seated in May 2024. The board includes an insanely talented group of individuals from within the quilting, outdoor recreation, business, media, and faith-based communities.

The relaunch started with a new logo, unveiled in April 2024, that we feel instantly tells our story and outlines our mission.

The new board of directors will outline the future marketing, fundraising, and quilt-making aspects of the organization; and the board’s directives will be facilitated by Laurie Lee Dovey as executive director. So, although much will change, our mission and commitment to our veterans remain the cornerstone of the organization.
