Quilt & Top Guidelines

We have very few requirements for our Quilts4Vets. We want your creativity to shine through and each quilt to be totally unique. See examples of quilts below.
Use your imagination — from the beauty of the most simple, basic patchwork to an intricate design we love and treasure them all.
Here’s the simple checklist:
• Register with us so we’re connected. Register to make a quilt.
• Make a pieced patriotic quilt or top, which may include panels (see examples below and you’ll get the idea). Do not use military fabric with arms of service or military equipment shown. Our veterans come from all branches of the service. Instead, use a red-white-and-blue theme for the top.
• Make a quilt/top approximately 50-60 inches x 72 inches
• Use quality, quilting cotton fabric for top, back and binding
• Include a note to the veteran (you will not have their name) and label your quilt. If making only the top, send a label with your name. We will fix it to the quilt when it is finished by the quilter.
• Include a note with your name, address, phone, email address, and Facebook or Instagram username, for instance FB @quilts4vets with the quilt when you send it to us. This is really important. We need to know who the quilts are coming from.
